Hollis Nomination Papers Available

Tuesday, March 21, 2017 candidate nomination papers will be available from the Hollis Town Clerk’s Office  for the following positions, to be voted on by secret ballot at the June 13, 2017 Hollis Annual Town Meeting :

One -SelectBoard and Overseer of the Poor for a three year term
One-Town Clerk for a three year term
Two-Budget Committee seats each for a three year term

Friday April 28, 2017
All candidate nominations papers must be filed in the Town Clerk’s Office in person by 4 p.m.
 

Tuesday, June 13, 2017
Hollis Annual Town Meeting will be held by secret ballot voting, the Town Meeting will open at 6:45 a.m. with the polls opening at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. Voting is held at Hollis Fire Station 405 Plains Road, Hollis, Maine 04042. The polls will also be open for State of Maine Referendum voting and the MSAD #6 Budget Validation Referendum.

The Registrar of Voters will be available regular office hours and at the polls to register voters, party enrollment or to make changes to the voting list.   The Registrar of Voter’s Office hours are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Wednesday noon- 8 p.m.  Please bring proof of your identity and Hollis residency when you register to vote.

Absentee Ballot request forms are available now at the Hollis Town Hall.  Absentee ballots may be requested from March 13th through Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 4 p.m.  After June 8, 2017 voters requesting an absentee ballot must meet the Special Circumstances requirement under Maine Law.
