-Nomination papers will be available in the Town Clerk's office on Friday, March 2, 2018 for One Selectman and Overseer of the Poor for a three year term; One Treasurer for a three year term and One Road Commissioner for a two-year term. Nomination papers must be returned in person by 4:00PM on Friday, April 13, 2018 to the Hollis Clerk's Office.

-MSAD 6 School Board Directors At Large information and press release is available on the Town's website www.hollismaine.org.

-The Republicans and Democrats will soon be holding their caucuses and submit names for election clerk appointments. 
-Saturday,  February  24, 2018  Republican Caucus at Biddeford Middle School 10am-2pm
-Sunday,  March 4, 2018  Democratic Caucus at Hollis Community Building 12:30-3:00pm.
www.hollismaine.org website has additional caucus information.  Anyone interested in serving as Election Clerks should contact their local major parties (Republicans & Democrats).


-Town Clerk Martha Huff needs some election staff who can lift 50 - 60 pounds;  for ballots, ballot tabulator machine and ballot boxes and can utilize clerks as early as 5 am and sometimes late into the night  10- 11 pm and occasionally into the early morning hours sometimes as late as 2 a.m. or 3 am. 
Although the election clerk shifts may cover a just a few hours it does require standing or sitting for extended periods of time.

“Election Clerks” are paid an hourly wage. An Election Clerk training will be held in late May.

“Election Clerks” are appointed under title 21-A 503 State Election Law.

“Ballot Clerks” are appointed under title 30-A Town Meeting Law.

-Property Tax Exemption applications must be received in the Assessing Office by April 1st 2018. These exemptions include Homestead exemption, Veteran's Exemption, Widow, Widower, Minor Child or Widowed Parent of a Veteran exemption, and Blind Exemption. Please visit the Town's website for applications.
