Minutes for Select Board Untelevised Meeting at Hollis Town Hall

April 26, 2017 at 5:00PM

Attendees: River Payne, Mike Seely, Roger Hicks, Bennet Flinner, Rita Anderson, Vera Littlefield, Nancy Conway, Bev Harris.

1. MSAD 6 Update - Roger gave an update regarding the School Board- member numbers representing the board will decrease from 11 to 8.

2. Hollis Rescue Ambulance - Mike announced that the Town's ambulance was recently involved in an accident. It was T-boned at an intersection and Town was not at fault. It is currently out of service and the Town has a loaner ambulance, in the meantime. 

3. Hollis Fire and Rescue Dept. Captains - Select Board has approved the promotion of two captains at the Hollis FD. 

4. Community Clothing Closet Update - While digging at the building site, the septic pipe was dug up accidentally. A portapotty has been placed for use. After the new building is erected, a new septic and leach field will be placed.

5. Dog Fines - ACO had a problem with 2 loose dogs that are unregistered. The Select Board has waived the loose dog fines, as long as the owner pays the registration fees and applicable late fees. 

6. York County Budget Committee - Meeting will be next Wednesday so Roger will not be present for the 7:00PM SB meeting. 

7. Library Committee - Being formed by residents with help of the Select Board to help shape the future of the libraries and give input.

8. Community Survey - Surveys have been distributed to Townspeople and over 100 entries have been received, so far. Results are slated to be completed in June. 

9. Bridge Lights - Lights are on at the Bar Mills Bridge. Roger reports that they are LED illuminaries.
