MINUTES FOR TELEVISED SELECT BOARD MEETING

Wednesday, June 20, 2018 7:00PM at the Hollis Community Building

Attendees: Dave McCubrey, Rita Perron, Chris Young, Bennet Flinner, John Rondeau, Sherry Estabrook, Rita Anderson, Bev Harris.

1. Meeting called to order by McCubrey at 7:00PM.

2. Perron welcomed and congratulated David McCubrey to the Hollis Select Board. McCubrey reports that when he was sworn into office at the Town Clerk's office, he nominated Rita Perron as Select Board Chair.  She declined his nomination and then nominated him for Chair. He accepted it and they voted him in as Select Board Chair.

3. Old Business

      a. Election Results - McCubrey reports that there were over 1000 voters for this election. The warrant articles that failed were the Mailbox Ordinance, Renaming of Roads ordinance change, and increasing tax levy limit. McCubrey reports that per our Assessor, Deb Stitson,we are not over the tax levy limit.

      b. CEO New Hire - Tammy Munson to start July 3, 2018. She brings with her over 25 years of experience as an inspector and CEO.

4. New Business

      a. After a discussion with the Fire Chief of how the Hollis FD air packs are outdated and not compatible with newer equipment, Perron made a motion to replace 27 air packs and accessories for $173,600 using TIF funds. McCubrey seconded the motion and all were in favor. Passed 2-0. 

      b. On the motion of Perron/McCubrey the Select Board approved and signed the lease between the Town of Hollis Rec Dept and the MSAD 6 transportation department for bus leasing for the Summer Rec Program. Passed 2-0.

      c. On the motion of McCubrey/Perron, the Select Board approved to call the election of a Select Board member to fill a vacancy for the November 2018 election. Passed 2-0.

      d. Weekly Warrant and Payroll: Warrant last week: $387,947, Warrant this week: $48,776; Payroll last week: $10,684, Payroll this week: $23,198.

      e. Purchase Orders completed during the first two weeks of June were read by McCubrey. 

      f. Correspondence - Leavitt's Mill Golf Classic will be held on August 16, 2018 at the Salmon Falls Country Club. 

5.  Other Business

     a. Town Offices closed July 4, 2018 and Wednesday Trash Pick-up rescheduled for Saturday, July 7, 2018.

     b. Town Hall will be under construction from August 8 - August 24. Temporary Town offices will be set up in the Community Building during that time. Will have some limited services which will be identified soon.

     c. Planning Board has a vacancy. Interested parties please contact Bennet Flinner for an application at 929-8552 ext. 26.
