Attendees: Roger Hicks, Mike Seely, Sr., Rita Perron, Bennet Flinner, Bev Harris, Bill Burns, Vera Littlefield, Nancy Conway, Rita Anderson, John Paul Rondeau
 
1. Meeting called to order by Hicks at 7:00PM
 
2. Old Business
 
     a. Update Town Records - Martha Huff, Town Clerk - skipped, TC not available.
 
     b. Bond Issue - Hicks reports that during a meeting with the Town Attorney last week, the Select Board agreed that the attorney Shana Mueller- Cook will take the lead for the Road Bond.
     
3. New Business
 
      a. Special Town Meeting, November 7, 2017 Timeline
           -Warrant w/Articles signed August 23, 2017
           -Public Hearing September 6, 2017
           -Final Warrant w/amendments September 13, 2017
           -Ballots ordered September 14, 2017
 
      b. Hollis FD Letter of appreciation from Sanford FD - Seely reports that a during fire in Sanford on June 23rd the Hollis Fire and Rescue responded. They received a letter of appreciation from the Sanford Fire Department.
 
      c. Hollis EMS new back-up ambulance: Hollis Fire and Rescue Department purchased a used ambulance for back-up. As of yesterday, it is in service.
 
      d. Warrant and Payroll Totals - Hicks reported numbers.
  
      e. Brine Tank - Hicks reports that MDOT gifted a brine tank to the Town of Hollis to treat road salt. It is installed in the salt and sand shed. The brine increases melting power so less salt and sand will be used on the roads.
  
      f. Waterboro Transfer Station: Just a reminder that the Town of Hollis has a contract to use the Transfer Station in Waterboro from July 1, 2017-June 30, 2018. Hollis residents can take debris to the station, must have a $25.00 sticker that can be purchased there. Thank you to everyone who uses this service.
 
      g. Correspondence - Read by Hicks
 
 
- Attn All Hollis Residents: The Town of Hollis has begun their re-evaulation and assessment of property taxes. These will be completed by Bob Dolloff and Shirley Bartlett.
 
- 100th Birthday Festival at the Hollis Center Baptist Church 388 Hollis Road to be held July 22, 2017 from 10am to 3:00pm. All residents of Hollis and surrounding communities are invited to this free, family oriented event. 
 
- The Hollis Pirate Fest is scheduled for Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the Hollis Sports Complex. Please contact Debbie Tefft at Parks and Rec to volunteer! More information about the festival and the 5K and 5 mile Road Races can be found on their website www.hollispiratefest.com
 
- Reminder that the Town of Hollis has implemented new hours for the purpose of viewing and obtaining copies of Public Records from the Town  Assessing and Code Enforcement Offices:

Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

12:00 - 3:00 PM

Wednesday

4:00 - 7:00 PM

During these hours, a Town employee will be present to assist in retrieving and photocopying requested documents.  General access to the files containing Public Records will no longer be permitted by the general public.
