Minutes for Select Board Televised Meeting
August 16, 2017 at 7:00PM
Attendees: Roger Hicks, Mike Seely, Sr., Rita Perron, John Rondeau, Vera Littlefield, Rita Anderson.
1. Open Select Board Meeting
2. Opening of Bids for the Hollis Sports Complex Parking Lot: 4 bids were received by the Select Board. Bid #1 from Dearborn Construction for $20,844; Bid #2 from Solid Ground for $23,380; Bid #3 from Gorham Sand and Gravel for $33,865.
Bid #4 was not in compliance with request and unopened. Because all bids have exceeded appropriated amount, Seely motioned to deny all of the bids, Perron seconded and all were in favor, passed 3-0-0. Select Board will have to go out to bid again.
3. Old Business
a. Town Roads: Hicks reports that he met recently with Tim Soucy and Tim Cuzack at Maine DOT. DOT is working to change speed sign to lower limit on River Road and install crosswalk light. Also Rt 35 between Durgin and Decker Circle wasn't paved with recent work, so they are planning to pave that section of road. Route 4A is currently being paved. Route 35 will be paved from Rt 117 to Lyman town line. Engineering for Sand Pond Road will begin on September 1, 2017.
4. New Business
a. Purchase Orders - None to report- will pick up next week.
b. Warrant and Payroll Totals - Payroll Last week: 18,554, Payroll this week: 24872; Warrant This week: 39,450, Warrant Last week: 379,245.
c. Correspondence
- VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! The Select Board is looking for volunteers to join the New Town Complex Committee and the Community Building Committee - Phase 2 project. Request volunteer forms at adminsecretary@hollismaine.org or 929-8552 x26.
