Minutes for Select Board Televised Meeting and Public Hearing
September 6, 2017 at 7:00PM
Attendees: Roger Hicks, Mike Seely, Sr., Rita Perron, Bennet Flinner, Sherry Bartlett, John Rondeau, Paul Mattor, Bill Goldersmett, Kevin LaFreniere, Bev Harris, Barbara Hase, John Sheahan, Len Vangaasbeek, Jr., Nancy Conway, Vera Littlefield
1. Select Board meeting called to order by Hicks at 7:00PM
2. Old Business
a. Roads - Hicks reports that the Engineering road survey of Upper Tarbox, Deerwander and Salmon Falls Road has been put on hold
3. New Business
a. Town Hall/Building Structural Problem: Seely reports that a survey of the Town Hall building found that the 2nd floor has dropped 3/4 of an inch and there is one steel beam that goes through the building. The floor is sagging due to too much weight upstairs and in attic. Select Board will evaluate information with the CEO to determine the next steps of action. It will cost the town money to secure the second floor and filing cabinets may need to be moved to 1st floor.
b. Warrant and Payroll Totals - Warrant last week: $33,317, Warrant this week: $32,981; Payroll last week: $19,979, Payroll this week: $11,129.
c. Statistics for CEO, ACO, Library and Hollis FD:
Fire and Rescue received 827 calls to date. This last month there were 44 incidents for FD, 59 for Rescue with 43 requiring medical transport. New ambulance may arrive on Friday.
CEO to date have received $19,640 in fees.
Salmon Falls Library: Three new households in August- 2 Hollis, 1 Buxton.

- VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! The Select Board is looking for volunteers to join the New Town Complex Committee and the Community Building Committee - Phase 2 project. Request volunteer forms at adminsecretary@hollismaine.org or 929-8552 x26.
- York County Community Action is now taking applications for LIHEAP and other energy assistance programs. Winter is coming! Please call 1-800-965-5762 to make an appointment.
8. Other Business: Hicks reports that Salmon Falls Road work will begin in Spring 2018. Sebago Technics are hoping to have road plan completed by end of December 2017.

September 12, 2017 - 7:00PM Zoning Board of Appeals Public Hearing at the Community Building. Request by Ed Lenkiewicz for a Variance Appeal for setback requirements on property located at 15 Moderation Street, Map 10, Lot 35.
September 13, 2017 - 5:00PM Untelevised Select Board Meeting at the Town Hall.
September 13, 2017 - 7:00PM Planning Board meeting at the Community Building.
September 14, 2017 6:30PM Hollis Sports Complex Meeting at the Community Building.
September 20, 2017 7:00PM Televised Select Board meeting at the Community Building.
September 21, 2017 6:00PM Conservation Commission meeting at the Salmon Falls Library.
September 21, 2017 7:00PM New Hollis Town Complex Committee meeting at Community Building.
10. Select Board Meeting suspended by Hicks.
11. Hicks opened Public Hearing for all PROPOSED Warrant Articles, Zoning Ordinance changes, Building Code Ordinance changes and Budget Committee Ordinance changes.
Public Comments can be viewed at https://srctv.org under Hollis Town Meetings. No decisions were made during the hearing.
12. Public Hearing closed by Hicks. Annouced the second Public Hearing for 11.7.17 warrant is to be held on October 4, 2017 7PM at the Fire Station.
13. Select Board Meeting reconvened by Hicks
14. On the motion of Seely/Perron, meeting was adjourned at 7:27PM. Passed 3-0-0.
