2020 Dog Licenses were due by December 31, 2019. Late fees begin Feb 1, 2020.
The Hollis Animal Control Officer will be going out into neighborhoods to verify that dogs are licensed. Unlicensed dogs will be fined $100.00 per dog, the annual license fee of $6.00 or $11.00, plus the STATE MANDATED $25.00 LATE FEE for February. Refusal to pay these fines will result in a court summons.
Please be proactive and license your dog now. You may mail a check or pay over the phone with a credit card if your dog’s rabies certificate we have on file is valid. The State of Maine licenses dogs to control the spread of rabies and to help combat animal cruelty across the state. A small portion of your dog license fee also stays in this Town to help fund the local Animal Control Officer.
Thank you for licensing your dog.
