  • A BENEFIT SPAGHETTI SUPPER sponsored by Hollis Lions Club to benefit the Community Clothing Closet will be held Saturday Sept. 24th from 4:00-6:30PM. Adults: $12, Ages 13-18/Senior Citizens: $10, Ages 6-12: $5, 5 & under eat free!  
  • FREE DISPOSAL OF PESTICIDES- The Maine Dept. of Agriculture, the Board of Pesticides Control (BPC) and the Maine Dept. of Environmental Protection offer farmers and homeowners this free annual opportunity to dispose of any obsolete, banned or unusable pesticide materials. Collection will happen in October, but the deadline to submit your list of pesticides is Sept. 23, 2016. There are four collection sites in Maine (nearest is Portland). Call the Board of Pesticides control at 207-287-2731 to register.
