Minutes for Select Board Untelevised Meeting
October 19, 2016, 5:00PM
Attendees: River Payne, Roger Hicks, Mike Seely, Sr., Bennet Flinner, Rita Anderson, Bev Harris, Nancy Conway, Vera Littlefield.
CAI Technologies Contract: Reviewed and signed by Select Board. Per Town's Assessor, updated contract will meet the Town's needs.
Town Border Signs: No response from volunteer organizations, so SB received a quote from local sign maker. SB agrees it is reasonable to wait until Spring and get additional quotes from other area sign makers.
Town Municipal Economic Complex Committee Mailer: Ad is in the Smart Shopper. Mailer will be sent to all residents. Cost is $1,099 and will come out of advertising. On the motion of Payne/Hicks, Select Board unanimously approved mailer to be sent by the committee.
Invoice Reviews: All invoices will be reviewed by all board and committee chairs prior to submitting a P.O.'s to the Select Board or Treasurer.
Political Signs: Per state statute, name and addresses must be on the back of political signs if they are moved.
A minor motorcycle accident occured in town today witnessed by a resident. The motorist left before 911 could be called and reported. Residents are encouraged to call 911 no matter how minor an accident is, it should be reported.
MSAD 6 Cost Sharing Committee Update: Per Roger the facilitator proposed to recalculate the cost sharing formula used to determine tax rates for Frye Island. This was declined by majority vote at the last meeting and the Cost Sharing formula will remain the same.
