Minutes for Select Board Untelevised Meeting
October 26, 2016, 5:00PM
Attendees: River Payne, Roger Hicks, Mike Seely, Sr., Bennet Flinner, Rita Anderson, Beverly Harris, Nancy Conway, Vera Littlefield.
Hillside Drive: Select Board has received application from Brian and Nancy Atkinson for a public road. Roger Hicks will review with Road Commissioner and keep us posted on status.
Snow Contract: Contract with RMDL for $345,678 previously approved. Signed this evening by Select Board.
Community Building Update: Bid requires additional review by the committee. Students should be back in the building for before/after school care in a few weeks.
Maintenance Position: Will be discussing new hire process during this evening's Executive Session.
New Bridge: New Bar Mills Bridge will be opening on 11.7.16 at 2:00PM, MDOT has invited Rita Anderson to help open up the new bridge, she will be attending event. Roger will follow up with lights on the bridge. Hollis should only be paying for 3 of them.
Public Comments: Rita Anderson let the Select Board know that Bill Ramsdell of the Buxton Hollis HIstorical Society has the position of 2 slaves buried with field stones in Hollis.
Select Board Meeting closed by River Payne at 5:17 P.M.
Bennet Flinner opened Executive Session pursuant to Title 1 M.R.S. §405(6)(A) to discuss a personnel matter at 5:18P.M., doors were closed. Executive Session attendees: River Payne, Mike Seely and Roger Hicks. Meeting ended at 5:45P.M. and doors were opened.
Select Board re-opened Meeting at 5:45P.M. On the motion of Seely/Hicks, the Select Board unanimously approved the hiring of new Maintenance Worker, Edward Hines of Buxton.
Select Board accepted and signed all the Town Clerk's appointments for Ballot and Election Clerks for the 11/8/16 State and General Election.
Select Board meeting adjorned at 5:50P.M.
