Clothing Closet Update: Seely spoke to his contact at Poland Spring and the new facility for the Clothing Closet is currently being built. Public question: Will it be sheetrocked/insulated? Seely does not know but assumes that it will not be. The committee indicated that there are volunteers that will help finish the project with whatever finishes the building requires. Seely will obtain a footprint of the building when it is finished - it will be put on the concrete slab next to the FD 1 on Rt 202.
Roads Update: Hicks spoke to DOT regarding Bar Mills Bridge lights, they will be installed at a later date. There are 3 lights each that Hollis and Buxton provide for the bridge. Public Question: Will there be a barrier between the road and the sidewalk on the bridge? Answer: No. It is a state road and it is up to MDOT to decide if there is a barrier or not. Request for Hillside Drive to become a public road has been pre-approved by the Road Commissioner. Select Board will bring request to 7:00PM Select Board televised meeting. On motion of Payne/Seely Select Board approved Jack Rogala of Road Committee to attend training with Roger Hicks on 12/8/16 for Snow/Ice Treatment in Sanford.
Holiday Schedule policy for 2017 presented to the Select Board by Bennet Flinner. Seely will provide Fee policy to Flinner for updating.
Public Question and Comments: Will Hollis have a moritorium for recreational marijuana use? Seely said once the recount is completed, it will be discussed by the board.
