Minutes for Select Board Untelevised Meeting
November 2, 2016, 5:00PM
Attendees: River Payne, Roger Hicks, Mike Seely, Sr., Bennet Flinner, Rita Anderson, Nancy Conway, Bev Harris, Vera Littlefield.
Non-municipal appropriations memo - reviewed and signed by Select Board.
Public Comments and Questions: Did the Select Board negotiate price for Snow/Ice contract? SB Answer: No, the bid was put in for $345K and was accepted. It will not go out for re-bid and contract is good for one year. Rita Anderson requested that the contractor should salt and sand senior citizens door yards and driveways. Roger told Rita that if she or any other citizen needed assistance with salt/sanding to call him as a friend and he'd be glad to help.
Select Board Meeting ended at 5:08PM.
5:09 PM Bennet Flinner opened Executive Session pursuant to Title 1 M.R.S. §405(6)(A) for the SB to discuss a personnel matter and closed the doors. ES Attendees: River Payne, Roger Hicks, Mike Seely, Sr. Executive Session ended 5:25PM.
Seely re-opened Select Board meeting at 5:26PM. On the motion of Seely/Payne, the Select Board unanimously approved the Fire Chief Selection Committee's recommendation and will offer the position to Chris Young.
