MINUTES FOR SELECT BOARD PUBLIC & ZOOM MEETING

Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022 - 7:00PM at the Hollis Community Building

Attendees: Select Board members – DavidMcCubrey, John Rogala, Mary Hoffman, TownClerk Martha Huff, Ballot clerk Lila Wilkins, Select Board Office Assistant Bennet Flinner, Camera Operator Ken Knudsen, Broadcasting Tech Tiffany Dean, Don Marean – Moderator, Public – Terry Walters, Diane Meserve, Faith Plummer, J Fiske, Butch Gannett, Bev Harris, June Hill.

1.    Meeting called to order by McCubrey at 7:00pm

2.    Old Business

             a. Animal Control Officer position is open, Select Board is taking resumes until position is filled. More information on our website.

             b. Assessing work by Parker Appraisal until 8/31/22. Bob and Tim Gingras will be driving a Maroon Toyota RAV 4 and White Subaru Outback. Assessing town signs are on their vehicles.

    c. Martha Huff Town Clerk gave reminder that Absentee Ballot applications are available until November 3. State Election is Nov. 8, 2022. Huff hopes that ballots will be sent out the end of Sept.

3.   On the motion of McCubrey and Rogala, the Select Board suspended the meeting at 7:15PM and Opened Special Town Meeting. See Minutes for Special Town Meeting in SB meeting minutes list and Town Clerk's page under Election Results.

4.   On the motion of Hoffman and Rogala, Select Board Meeting reconvened at 7:43pm. Passed 3-0.

5.   New Business

a. Payroll this week - $19,171, Payroll last week - $45,408; Warrant this week $46,051, Warrant last week $585,232.

b. Purchase Orders:

  • #4169 to Scarborough Dept of Public Works for open PO apparatus maintenance and needs found during annual testing and maintenance not to exceed $10,000;
  • #4164 to Dawn Lundeen reimbursement for Funtown field trip admission fees – frozen credit card, not to exceed $1,480.

c. Correspondence - None

6.   Other Business:   none

7.   Upcoming Committee and Board Meetings

  • Conservation Commission meeting Thursday, August 18th at 5:30PM
  • Sports Complex Committee meeting Thursday, August 18th at 7PM
  • Planning Board Site Visit at 5PM and Public Hearing 7PM re: Wild Acres Subdivision Revision on Wednesday August 24th
  • No meeting scheduled for Wednesday, August 31, 2022.
  • Select Board meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 7th at 7PM

8.    On the motion of Rogala and Hoffman, Select Board adjourned meeting at 7:52pm. Passed 3-0.
