MINUTES FOR HOLLIS SELECT BOARD MEETING

1.10.18, 5:00 P.M. TOWN HALL

Attendees: Roger Hicks, Mike Seely, Sr., Rita Perron, Bennet Flinner, John Rondeau, Mary Weyer, Rita Anderson, Vera Littlefield, Nancy Conway.

1. Meeting called to order by Hicks at 5:00PM

2. Old Business

    a. 18-19 Budget Reviews for Legal, Salmon Falls Library, Hollis Center Library, General Assistance, Animal Control, Street Lights:

Legal budget: On the motion of Seely/Perron, Select Board approved to recommend the budget as presented for Legal services. Passed 3-0-0.

Salmon Falls Library: On the motion of Seely/Perron, Select Board approved to recommend the budget as presented by Mary Weyer for Salmon Falls Library. Passed 3-0-0.

Hollis Center Library: On the motion of Hicks/Perron, Select Board approved to recommend the budget presented for the Hollis Center Library. Passed 3-0-0.

General Assistance: On the motion of Perron/Hicks, Select Board approved to recommend the $25,000 budget for General Assistance as presented. Passed 3-0-0.

Animal Control: On the motion of Seely/Hicks, Select Board approved to recommend the Animal Control budget as presented. Passed 3-0-0.

Street Lights: On the motion of Seely/Perron, Select Board approved to recommend the Street Lights budget as presented. Passed 3-0-0. 

    b. Selection Committee for Finance Committee: Three residents will be represented on the Finance Committee Selection group: Becky Bowley, Paul Mattor and Kevin LaFreniere.

3. New Business

    a. Fire Station Fuel Assistance: Select Board thanked the Hollis Fire and Rescue for delivering emergency fuel to those who need enough until their deliveries are made. Great job!

    b. Poland Spring Heat Fund Donation: Big thanks to Poland Spring for donating $5,000 towards the Town's Heat Fund! Now any resident is eligible for fuel assistance by way of this fund. Thank you!

    c. Clynk Program - Heat Fund - Donation bags are now available at Town Hall

    d. 211: Residents should take advantage of the resource service by dialing 211 or go to their website 211.com.   It gives lots of information about state and local services available.     

4. Other Business:  Purchase order for jaws of life/extrication tools for Hollis Fire and Rescue - $40,899.25 through Jeneson's supply. Tools can be used for any car/tractor trailer. On the motion of Hicks/Seely purchase order was approved and signed by the Select Board.  Passed 3-0-0.    

5. Public Comment: No decisions were made during item

6. Executive Session - None

7. On the motion of Seely/Perron, meeting was adjourned at 5:48PM. Passed 3-0-0.
