MINUTES FOR TELEVISED HOLLIS SELECT BOARD MEETING

12.13.17, 5:30 P.M.

Attendees: Roger Hicks, Mike Seely, Sr., Rita Perron, Chris Young, John Rondeau, Rita Anderson, Bev Harris.

1. Meeting called to order by Hicks at 5:32pm

2. Old Business 

    a. 2016-17 Carry Forwards: On the motion of Seely/Perron the Select Board approved the recommendations of carry forwards in the workshop completed earlier today. All in favor, passed 3-0-0

    b. Review and Discuss Fire Dept. budget 18-19 with Chief Young. Budget was increased by to support the purchase upgraded jaws of life equipment that will work on both motor vehicles and tractor trailers. On the motion of Seely/Perron the Select Board approved the recommendation of the FD budget of $709,094.95. All in favor, passed 3-0-0. 

    c. GA appointments/interviews: Seely voiced concerns for confidentiality of General Assistance applicants that come into the Select Board office. He would prefer a separate office to hold interviews. He will look into ways to mitigate it.

3. New Business

    a. Purchase Orders: Senior Bus Trip for Parks and Rec on 12/16/18.

4. Other Business

    a. Christmas/New Year’s Holiday Hours and Ad for Town Hall: On the motion of Seely/Perron, Select Board approved that the office be closed for holiday on Tuesday, Dec. 26th 2017 and Jan. 2nd 2018. All in favor, passed 3-0-0. Ad will be placed in the Smart Shopper and on website for public notice.

5. Public Comment - No decision made during item.

6. Executive Session - None

7. On motion of Seely/Perron, meeting adjourned at 6:10PM Passed 3-0-0.
