MINUTES FOR TELEVISED HOLLIS SELECT BOARD MEETING

Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019 at 7:00PM held at the Hollis Community Building

Attendees: David McCubrey, Rita Perron, John Rogala, Bennet Flinner, Ken Knudsen

1. Meeting called to order by McCubrey at 7:00pm

2. Old Business

     a. Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony: Select Board reports that the celebration went well and many more participated than expected. Thank you to the Rec Dept and Hollis Boy Scouts for a great evening. They would like to have another one next year, so please contact the Select Board with any suggestions or volunteers for this event.

3. New Business

     a. Thank you Dorcas Society of Hollis & Buxton: The Select Board thanks the Dorcas Society for their generous donation to the Clothing Closet.

     b. Holiday office closings and trash pick-up reminders:  Hollis Town offices will be closed for the holiday the day before Christmas and Christmas Day, December 24th and 25th. Offices will reopen on Thursday, December 26th.  Offices will also be closed on Wednesday, January 1st 2020. Offices will reopen on January 2nd.

         Holiday Trash Pick-up for Christmas Day and New Year's Day will be the Saturday following the holiday. Christmas pick-up will be on December 28th and New Year's Day will be on January 4th.

     c. Policy #2 – Holiday Schedule 2020. On the motion of Perron/Rogala, the Select Board approved the Holiday Schedule for 2020. Passed 3-0

     d. Warrant and Payroll Totals: Warrant last week - $404,636, Warrant this week - $35,149, Payroll last week - $11,880, Payroll this week - $28,038.

     e. Purchase Orders: #3901 to VISA card for Annual Awards Banquet for Hollis Fire and Rescue. Not to exceed $2,100; #3909 to Bana Corp for wire pump for storage tank at the salt barn, not to exceed $900 under TIF acct; #3908 to Innovative Surface solutions for 4500 gallons of Magic Minus Zero solution for salt, not to exceed $6,120 under sand/salt acct; #3899 to Maine Fire Service Institute for week long fire office course in Brunswick, not to exceed $1,200 under FD acct.

     f. Correspondence:

Don’t forget to sign up for the Emergency Subscription Plan for 2020. Enrollment forms are available on our website and at the Town Hall.

4. Other Business:

Thank you Poland Spring for reusable water bottles donated to the Before/After school program at the Parks and Rec Dept. All the participants will receive their own bottle to customize. Thank you!

New Municipal Complex Committee Meeting scheduled for Dec. 19th has been cancelled.

Wednesday, January 15th at 7:00pm, Televised Select Board Meeting

6. Public Comment - None

7. On the motion of Perron/Rogala the Select Board adjourned the meeting at 7:14pm. Passed 3-0
