MEETING MINUTES FOR TELEVISED HOLLIS SELECT BOARD ZOOM MEETING

Wednesday, May 20, 2020, 2:00PM

Attendees: David McCubrey, Rita Perron, Jack Rogala, Bennet Flinner, Tammy Munson, Martha Huff, Martha Turner, Ken Knudsen

1. Meeting called to order at 2:07pm by McCubrey.

2. July 14, 2020 Election Update / Voting Information - Read by McCubrey and can be found HERE

3. COVID-19/Municipal Services & Buildings Update - The Board is working on obtaining plexiglass screens, PPE and plan on how to reopen the buildings. Staff is still working through window service and remotely.

4. Old Business

    a. Approval of Meeting Minutes of January through March 2020. On the motion of Perron and Rogala, the board approved the meeting minutes for January 15, February 5 and March 4 of 2020. Passed 3-0.  On the motion of Perron and McCubrey the board approved the meeting minutes for February 19, 2020. Passed 2-0-1 (Rogala absent at meeting).

5. New Business

    a. Warrant and Payroll Totals - Warrant last week - $513.503, Warrant this week - $20,002; Payroll last week - $12,176. Payroll this week - $28,812.

    b. Purchase Orders - Read by McCubrey

    c. Correspondence: 

  • Recycling  - Perron reports that residents are putting items in recycling that are not recyclable.  If you have any doubt it is recyclable, please throw it away or else we get charged.  
  • Salmon Falls Library - Library Director would like to start a curb-side pick up program for books and media. More information is forthcoming on the library's website. She hopes to begin in the next few weeks.
  • Food Drive for Hollis and Buxton Food pantries will be held at the Hollis Lions Club on Friday and Saturday May 22 and 23. Drop off non-perishable foods from 9am-5pm Friday and 9am-1pm Saturday.

6. Other Business:  The Select Board agreed to hold a Public Hearing for the July 14, 2020 Warrant on June 17, 2020 7:00pm.

7. Upcoming Committee and Board Meetings:

Planning Board Zoom Meeting on May 27, 2020 at 7:00pm.

Select Board Zoom meeting on June 3, 2020 at 7:00pm.

8. Public Comment: CEO Munson asked if the Town planned on reopening Town Hall on June 1st. The Board indicated that they will discuss it further at their next meeting on June 3, 2020.

9. Executive Session - None

10. On the motion of Rogala and Perron, the board adjourned the meeting at 2:37PM. Passed 3-0.
