MINUTES FOR TELEVISED HOLLIS SELECT BOARD ZOOM MEETING

Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at 7:00PM

Attendees: Select Board members -David McCubrey & John Rogala; guests - Paul Penna, Bill Brockman.  Other – Martha Huff (Town Clerk), Tammy Munson (CEO), Don Marean (State Rep), Dave Durrell, Barbara Lawson, Elissa Turkett, Mary Hoffman, Lori Napolitano, Trevor Hustus.   

1. Meeting called to order at 7:04pm by McCubrey.

2. McCubrey gave the unofficial results of the election of the Annual Town Meeting from yesterday. Official results will be posted on the website.

3. MSAD 6 Budget Overview presented by Paul Penna, Superintendent & Bill Brockman, Business Mgr.

4. Old Business – None.

5. New Business

    a. Appointments - Peter Lovell, Maxwell Kenney, Don Roth - Planning Board. On the motion of Rogala and McCubrey, the Select Board appointed Lovell, Kenney and Roth to the Planning Board. Passed 2-0.

    b. Payroll and Warrant Totals:  Warrant last week $54,518, Warrant this week $72,451; Payroll last week $17,803, Payroll this week $36,271.

    c. Purchase Orders:  #3955 for Fire/Rescue to Scarborough DPW for vehicle maintenance, ambulance service and repairs not to exceed $1,062.98.

    d. Correspondence:  

The Clothing Closet will RE-OPEN on Tuesday, July 21st from 9-11AM. To keep everyone as safe as possible, the following protocols MUST BE FOLLOWED:

  • 1. Patrons must be signed in before entering the building.
  • 2. Patrons must bring their own PEN to sign in.
  • 3. The side door is the entrance and the front door is the exit door.
  • 4. No children under 15 years of age will be admitted.
  • 5. Masks must be worn at all times while in the building.
  • 6. Hand sanitizer to be used upon entering and available at the exit.
  • 7. Everyone is expected to follow the arrows and spacing lines.
  • 8. The bathroom will not be available.
  • 9. Drop-off will be at the shed.

     The Clothing Closet will be open on Tuesdays 9-11 am, Thursdays 9-11 am and Saturdays 1-3 pm.

6.  Other Business  - There will be an electronic waste day in Hollis scheduled for Sept. 12 –  may be able to take scrap metal too. Announcement coming soon!

7.  Upcoming Committee and Board Meetings

  • On Wednesday, July 22nd there will be a Televised Planning Board Zoom Meeting at 7:00pm.
  • On Thursday, July 30th the MSAD 6 District Budget meeting will take place at the Bonny Eagle High School gym at 7:00pm.
  • On Wednesday, August 5th there will be a Televised Select Board Zoom Meeting at 7:00PM.

10. On the motion of Rogala and McCubrey, the Select Board adjourned the meeting at 9:45pm. Passed 2-0
