MINUTES FOR TELEVISED SELECT BOARD MEETING
Wednesday, August 22, 2018 5:00PM at the Hollis Community Building
 

Attendees: Select Board members - David McCubrey, Rita Perron; Admin. Asst. Bennet Flinner; Camera operators - John Paul Rondeau and Sherry Estabrook; Public: Rita Anderson

1. Meeting called to order by McCubrey at 5:02pm

McCubrey announced that there will not be a meeting next Wednesday - 5th Wednesday of the month.


2. Old Business

    a.   Update on Town Hall Construction - Town offices will be moving back on 8/27/18

    b.   Update on Community Building - Phase 2:  Building is almost finished. Walk through was completed and touch up areas are marked.

    c.   Select Board and Planning Board Vacancies:  There is one Select Board vacancy available (7 month term) and two Planning Board vacancies - one is an alternate and other is regular member.

    d.   Roads Update:  Salmon Falls Road update, RFP bids due by Sept. 5, 2018 at 7:00PM, Meeting with interested contractors will be held on August 28, 2018.

    e.   Public Hearings for November 2018 Warrant: September 19th and October 17th 2018. Location TBD


3. New Business

    a.  Mat services for Town Hall and Community Building: On the motion of Perron and McCubrey, the board approved Cintas Corp's proposal for mat and mop services, contract signed. Passed 2-0

    b.  Scheduled Gun Discussion: the Town has received 2 complaints regarding gun fire. McCubrey would like to set up a discussion to inform the public and decide on a possible noise ordinance. Meeting will take place on September 5, 2018 at 7:00pm.

    c.  Weigh Station: Construction is in preliminary stages. Is set to be across the street from Pete's Place on Route 202.


4. Other Business

    a. Ecomaine and Poland Spring Open Houses:  Ecomaine open house is Sept. 29, 2018 8-11 AM - Recycling Plant.   Poland Spring will have their open house on Sept. 22, 2018 from 11am-3pm. Free BBQ dinner, tours, fun zone, non-profits are encouraged to have tables. Call 998-6483 - due by Aug. 24, 2018.


5. Public Comments: none


6. On the motion of Perron and McCubrey, the board adjourned the meeting at 5:34pm. Passed 2-0.
