Minutes for Select Board Televised Meeting

Attendees: Select Board- River Payne, Roger Hicks, Mike Seely, Sr.,; Town Clerk- Martha ; State Representative- Don Marean; Admin Asst.- Bennet Flinner; Residents - Nancy Conway, Vera Littlefield, Rita Anderson, Bev Harrison.
1. Select Board Meeting open at 7:03PM by Payne
2. Old Business
a. Town Clerk Update: Dog registration fees are now $46 or $51 per dog and goes up $61 or $66 on April 1, 2017. Encourages everyone to come in and register their dogs.
Martha gave special thanks to the Hollis FD for helping to set up and clean up for the Special Town Meeting and all the ballot/election clerks that volunteered that day.
Martha asked the Select Board if she could remove a photograph of Josiah York in her office and take it somewhere outisde the office to be copied for the family who now owns the home. She will pay for the copy herself. Select Board agreed that would be fine.
Martha also recently gave 4 boxes of records to preservationists to work on - books of births, deaths and town reports.
Election Update: Absentee Ballot request forms are available at Town Hall.
3. New Business
a. Town Barn - Siding bids received for the job came in at $36,000, $18,000 and $15,000. Based on reviews the Select Board chose Valley Siding for the job.
b. Mowing and Landscaping Contract - Current contract with Taylor and Sons ends in June. The Select Board has agreed to renew it for one year. This contract covers all town properties including the Sports Complex, ballfields and Library.
c. PO's, Warrant and Payroll Totals: Warrant last week- $27,295, this week- $333,220; Payroll last week- $11,138, this week- $20,240.
PO's: 2.3.17- #3422 Southern Maine Communications to remove repeater and reinstall at Hollis Fire and Rescue not to exceed $3,500 (TIF);
2.14.17- #3393 Card Services for Hollis FD Annual Awards banquet hall and catering not to exceed $1250;
2.17.17- #3404 Caleb Johnson Construction LLC ongoing construction at the Community Building (Article 21) not to exceed $28,510.25;
2.28.17 #3406 to Kofile Preservation for Town records preservation and conservation not to exceed $40,000.
d. Correspondence - River
-MSAD 6 is currently looking for bus drivers. Please contact MSAD 6 Transportation Dept for more information.

-SALT/SAND IS STILL AVAILABLE BEHIND TOWN HALL FOR HOLLIS RESIDENTS- LIMIT IS TWO 5 GALLON BUCKETS PER HOUSEHOLD.
-DOG LICENSE FEES ARE NOW OVERDUE! Fees for 2017 YEAR are $6.00 for Spayed/Neutered dog, $11.00 for unspayed/unneutered. Late fee is $40 (per dog) and is STATE mandated.
