MINUTES FOR UNTELEVISED HOLLIS SELECT BOARD MEETING

6.14.17, 5:00 P.M. at Town Hall

Attendees: Roger Hicks, Mike Seely, Sr., Rita Perron, Bennet Flinner, Rita Anderson, Vera Littlefield, Nancy Conway.

1. Meeting called to order by Seely at 5:03PM
2. Seely and Hicks welcomed newly elected official Rita Perron to Select Board.
3. Perron made a motion and Seely seconded that Roger Hicks be elected as new Select Board Chair and Hicks accepted. All in favor and passed without the presence of Town Clerk.

4. Old Business - none
5. New Business - Select Board reappointed Debra Stitson as the Town Assessor. All in favor.
6. Public Comments- Resident asked what the emergency Budget Committee meeting that was cancelled recently was supposed to cover. Seely stated that it was a potential problem with the Rec Dept. Summer Rec program - it has since been resolved and no meeting was required.  Resident asked if anything was going to be done with the problems at the Hollis Rd bridge by Salmon Falls Library - drugs, swimming, jumping the bridge, etc.  Seely stated that since Hollis has no law enforcement there can not be any intervention. State and Buxton police can be contacted for problems. Resident asked if we can rent police and Seely stated no and police are not interested in those positions, they are too high risk. Resident indicated that she is making window valances for the Community Clothing Closet's new building.  No decisions were made during this agenda item.

7. Meeting was adjourned by Hicks at 5:35PM
