MINUTES FOR SELECT BOARD PUBLIC AND ZOOM MEETING

Wednesday, July 6, 2022 - 7:00PM at the Hollis Community Building

Attendees: Select Board members - Dave McCubrey, John Rogala, Mary Hoffman; Bennet Flinner, Ken Knudsen.

1.    Meeting called to order by McCubrey 7:01pm

2.    Old Business

a. Paving Bid awarded to Dayton Sand and Gravel. All bids submitted are available for review by public at Town Hall or call the Select Board.

b. Reminder that Snow and Ice Control Bids – due July 20, 2022. Bidding info on our website and available at Town Hall.

3.   New Business

            a.  Appointments:  ACO – Sharlene Jeremy; Appeals Board – Nancy Ponzetti, Rebecca Bowley; Planning Board – Jessica Brackett, Donald Roth;  Freedom of Access Officer – Martha Huff, Saco River Community TV Board of Directors – Donald Marean; Plumbing Inspector – Jennifer Leeman   All appointments unanimously passed by Select Board 3-0.

            b.  Payroll and Warrant Totals: Warrant last week $61,451, Warrant this week $77,844; Payroll this week $20,175, Payroll last week $36,336.

            c.  Purchase Orders: #4145 to Chasing Sound live music at Community Day not to exceed $500; #4144 to Andrew Silver for variety artist at Community Day not to exceed $550; #4136 to Ruel Construction to fix and rebuild all pavilions at the Sports Complex not to exceed $5,535.

            d.  General Assistance/Town & State Welfare  – New Caseworker Jane Maynard. Please call (207) 298-0271 for help. Please do not call number for “general questions” about the Town. Many calls have been made lately for general information about the Town of Hollis. Please call Town Hall for these general questions.

4. Other Business: 

  • Hollis Community Café will be held on Wednesday, July 13th from 12-1:30PM at the Hollis Center Church, 388 Hollis Road. Please call Ann Vigeant 207-604-1323 to register in advance (one week preferred)
  • Vacancies on Planning Board and Finance Committee
  • Volunteers NEEDED for Community Day 08/13/22.

5.   Upcoming Committee and Board Meetings

  • Planning Board meeting on Wednesday, July 13th at 7 PM
  • Sports Complex Committee meeting on Thursday, July 14th at 7 PM.
  • Community Day Committee meeting on Tuesday, July 19th at 7 PM
  • Select Board meeting on Wednesday, July 20th at 7 PM
  • Conservation Commission Meeting on Thursday, July 21st at 5:30 PM

8.    On the motion of Rogala and Hoffman the Select Board unanimously adjourned the meeting at 7:08pm
