Trash and Transfer Station Info

What is Household Trash?
Household trash would include discarded clothing, bedding to include sheets, blankets, and pillow cases but not mattresses and box springs. It would include food waste if you do not compost such things. Food wrapping material, which cannot be recycled, would be included in household trash. Styrofoam packing materials are included in household trash.

How should Household Trash be packaged for collection?

  • Do not put trash or recycling in a shed, wooden boxes, dumpsters or other like containers in the driveway
  • Our hauler will not open these containers or transport materials from them to the truck. Trash & recyclables need to be left at curbside (at the edge of the road). This would add time to those stops, and puts the driver outside the designated work triangle. Any materials left in these type of containers will not be picked up. These containers include plastic buildings, wooden boxes, dumpsters etc.
